Regent House is on Regent Street, east of the town centre. It's a townhouse, so it's tall and thin.
You sleep four, in two double bedrooms. The main one is on the first floor and has its own toilet. The bathroom is on the second floor, with both a bath and a shower. It's all quite floral.
The stairs are part of the deal. They're fine if you're steady on your feet, but they are stairs.
From the front door, you're a few minutes' walk from the main shops and places to eat. North Bay beach is about a ten minute walk downhill. South Bay and the harbour are about fifteen. The castle is in between the two. For more details, the English Heritage site is useful.
The kitchen and living area are on the top floor, which gets the light. It's open plan. There's a TV, WiFi, a washing machine, and all the bedding and towels are included.
In terms of things to do, Peasholm Park is nice for a walk. You can get boat trips from the harbour, and people do see dolphins sometimes. There's a good local pub around the corner. For a bigger list of local walks and sights, North York Moors National Park has information.
No pets, sorry.
