Bluebell

Bluebell is in Staintondale. It's a detached wooden cabin, single storey. The main living space is all one room. There are two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms. One has a super king bed and the other is a twin. It sleeps four.

It's got a 3 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and clean, not luxurious. You take two steps up to get onto the deck and in through the front door. Once you're in it's all on one level, which is handy.

It looks out over a big lawn with woods around it. You get deer and badgers in the garden most nights. The deck faces south, so you get the sun.

Inside, it's timber. The living area has the kitchen at one end, a table, and a sofa with the TV. The utility room has a washing machine, a dryer, and an extra freezer.

You can bring one dog. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside.

The old railway line is about 100 yards away. It's a flat path now, good for walking or cycling to Scarborough or Whitby. There's a path from the village down to a secluded bay with waterfalls. The local pubs are about a mile away. They do food.

Scarborough is about a 20 minute drive one way, Whitby is about 25 the other. Robin Hood's Bay is very close, maybe 10 minutes. For a day out, the North York Moors Railway starts in Pickering, which is about half an hour away.

If you're planning to see the area, these sites are useful: North York Moors National Park, National Trust York Moors and Coast, and North Yorkshire Moors Railway.
