Bay
This cottage is called Bay. It's in Ravenscar, which is a small village on the cliffs between Whitby and Scarborough.
It sleeps four. Two double bedrooms, both with their own bathroom. That's one upstairs and the shower room is on the ground floor. It's got a 4 Star rating. The cottage is one of two in the building, and there's an internal connecting door if you want to book both with another family.
Ravenscar itself is quiet. There's a hotel with a bar and restaurant, and a small shop. The main thing here is the coast. The Cleveland Way path runs right past. The track down to the old village and the rocky bay is very steep, but it's worth it to see the seals. Please keep your distance from them.
Whitby is about a 15 minute drive south. You've got the abbey, the pier, and all the shops there. Robin Hood's Bay is even closer, maybe 10 minutes. It's a proper old fishing village, very steep streets down to the harbour. Good for an ice cream. Staithes and Sandsend are in the other direction, both within half an hour.
Inland, you're right on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. Good for walking or a drive. Goathland is the heart of it, where they filmed Heartbeat.
Practical stuff: there's parking for one car right outside. The garden is enclosed. You can bring two dogs. It has wifi, a TV, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair.
