Sheen Cottage is in Fylingthorpe. It's a detached house. It sleeps ten people in five bedrooms, with two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating.
The garden at the back is enclosed. It looks out over the fields towards the coast.
Inside, the stairs are a bit steep and narrow in places. It’s an old house. There's an open fire in the living room and a gas fire in the dining room. The kitchen has a range cooker. We provide bedding and towels.
There's a pub in the village, a few minutes walk away. They do food.
You can walk down to Robin Hood's Bay from the cottage in about twenty minutes. The path is steep coming back up. Whitby is about a ten minute drive north. The Abbey is up there, and the town has shops and places to eat.
For a quieter beach, Ravenscar is to the south. If you want to go inland, the North York Moors start just behind the village. The North York Moors National Park website has walking routes. The National Trust looks after a lot of the coastline near here.
The facilities list is accurate. It has a washing machine, dishwasher, and WiFi. We allow up to two dogs. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
