Speedy's Cottage
Speedy's Cottage is on Church Street in Whitby. It's down a little yard just off the main street, so it feels tucked away, but you're right in the middle of everything. You can walk to Tate Hill Beach in a minute.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, each with its own shower room. It's got a 4 Star rating. The place has been done up recently. It's clean and comfortable, with things like granite worktops in the kitchen. The ceilings are beamed, so you know it's an old cottage.
There's a small patio outside with a table and chairs for when the sun's out, and a barbecue. The yard is enclosed, so it's fine for a dog.
You're a two minute walk from the harbour, the shops, and plenty of places to eat. The local pubs are proper old Whitby pubs. The 199 steps up to the Abbey are about five minutes away.
If you want to explore, Robin Hood's Bay is about a twenty minute drive south. The North York Moors National Park starts just outside town. The steam train from Whitby to Pickering goes right through it. There's also the National Trust coastline nearby.
Inside, there's a washing machine, dishwasher, Wi-Fi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair.
One thing to note: the bedrooms are on different floors. One is on the lower ground floor, the other is up a flight of stairs. It works well for two couples or a family with older kids.
