Whitby House

Whitby House is on the West Cliff. It's a big, terraced house that sleeps eight.

There are four bedrooms upstairs. One king, one double, one with twin beds that can zip together to make another double, and a bunk room with a nautical theme for kids. There's one family bathroom and a separate toilet.

Downstairs, there's a lounge, a dining room that seats eight, and a separate kitchen. The kitchen has what you need. Outside, there's an enclosed patio with a table. There's a plastic shower hose with hot and cold taps out there, which is handy for washing off sand or wetsuits.

It has a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean. The house is directly opposite Tucker’s Field. That’s where the leisure centre is, with a gym, pool, and a pizza place. There's an outdoor paddling pool there in summer. You can walk straight across that field to the footpath down to the West Cliff beach.

It’s about a ten minute walk from there into the centre of Whitby for the shops, pubs, and the harbour. Whitby Abbey is up on the East Cliff. You can walk to it from town, but it’s a steep climb up the 199 steps.

The North York Moors are right on the doorstep for walking. Robin Hood’s Bay is about a 15 minute drive south. Scarborough is about 45 minutes south if you fancy a different seaside town.

Facilities include a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring up to two dogs. There’s free on-street parking outside, which is usually fine, but it can get busy in peak season.
