Oasis Cottage

Oasis Cottage is in Whitby, on the West Cliff. It's down a cobbled street just off the main road where the pubs and shops are. You can walk to the beach in about five minutes.

It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well looked after. The stairs are spiral and quite steep, just so you know.

There's a small enclosed patio out the front with a table. Inside is open plan downstairs. There's a big corner sofa, a dining table, and a kitchen. There's a toilet on the ground floor too. Upstairs, the main bedroom has a kingsize bed. The bathroom has a bath and a separate shower. The other two bedrooms are on the top floor, one with twin beds and one with a single.

You get a private driveway, which is handy in Whitby. Parking can be tricky otherwise.

Whitby's good for walking. The Cleveland Way runs right past. The abbey ruins are up on the East Cliff; you can walk there via the swing bridge. The English Heritage site has the details. There's also the Captain Cook Memorial Museum if that's your sort of thing.

A bit further out, within about half an hour's drive, you've got Robin Hood's Bay, which is another nice coastal village for a wander. The North York Moors are right there for a proper walk. For a day out, National Trust Yorkshire Coast has good information on the local area.

Facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, and bedding and towels are included. We provide a cot. You can bring up to two dogs.
