Lyndhurst

Lyndhurst is a one-bedroom annexe for two people in Torquay. It’s on a quiet private road with its own parking space. You get a key to the gate for Daddyhole Plain, which is the big viewpoint just along from the house. The view from there is the main thing.

It’s got a 5 Star rating. That means it’s been finished to a high standard. Everything’s new and works properly. It’s all on one level, so no stairs. There's a small patio area outside the front.

You can walk down to Meadfoot Beach in about ten minutes. It's a mix of sand and pebbles. The main harbour and town centre are about a twenty minute walk, mostly downhill. Coming back up is a bit of a climb. There’s a local pub a few minutes walk away.

Within a half hour drive you can get to Brixham, which is a proper fishing harbour, and Paignton which has a long sandy beach. Dartmoor is about thirty minutes away if you fancy a change from the coast. There’s an electric vehicle charger on site.

For planning walks, the South West Coast Path site is useful. For local history and gardens, Torre Abbey is nearby.
