Compass Point is in Brixham, about a five minute walk from the harbour. It's a three-storey house, so there are a fair few stairs. You get an enclosed garden.
It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and one bathroom. It’s got a 4 Star rating. We take two dogs.
The stairs inside are a bit steep and twisty, like a lot of houses here. Just something to be aware of.
There’s a pub and restaurant about 175 yards away. They do food and have a beer garden. The shop is a few minutes’ walk.
Brixham itself is a proper fishing town. The harbour is the main thing. There’s an outdoor seawater pool at Shoalstone, which is a bit of a local institution. For a sandy beach, you’ll want to drive. Churston Cove is about five minutes away by car.
Dartmouth is about a twenty minute drive. Paignton is close if you need bigger shops or the train line. From there you can get to Exeter, Plymouth or Totnes.
For facilities, it’s got a woodburning stove, dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There’s a highchair and stairgate if you need them.
