Apartment 5
This is Apartment 5, in Astor House in Torquay. It's a first-floor flat in a big Victorian villa that's been split into apartments. You get a sea view from the front.
It sleeps three. There's one bedroom with a double bed and a single, and one bathroom. It's rated 4 Star, so it's comfortable and well-fitted. You can bring up to two dogs.
The building is set back from the road, so it's fairly quiet, but you're right in town. The main beach is about a five-minute walk. There's a shop even closer, and a couple of pubs and restaurants just down the hill.
You get parking on the drive. The flat has its own washing machine, and towels and bedding are provided. There's WiFi and a TV.
Because of the layout, the shower is over the bath. The stairs up to the flat are the original ones, so they're a typical Victorian flight. Fine for most, but something to be aware of.
One thing included is a guest pass for the leisure club at the Imperial Hotel. It's a proper spa with a pool and gym, just a few minutes' walk away.
From here, you can walk to most things in Torquay. The model village and Kent's Cavern are close. Paignton Zoo is about a ten-minute drive. For a day out, Brixham is a proper working harbour. Dartmouth and Totnes are both about half an hour by car. Dartmoor is easily reachable in under forty minutes.
