This is Riviera Apartment in Torquay. It's on the lower ground floor of a big Victorian house called Riviera Mansion, overlooking Torre Abbey beach. You have your own front door. It's a two-bedroom place, sleeps four, and both bedrooms have their own bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating, so it's well-equipped and comfortable.
The best thing is the view. The main living room and one bedroom have floor-to-ceiling bay windows that open onto a balcony. You can look right over the marina, the beach, and across the bay to Paignton. On a clear day you can see Dartmoor in the distance. There's a swinging seat for three out there and patio heaters. It's a good spot to watch events like the fireworks or the Red Arrows.
The house itself has a bit of history. It was built in the 1840s for someone who owned a diamond mine. Later it was a hotel, and now it's split into a private home and three holiday apartments.
Facilities are pretty comprehensive. You've got a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and parking on site. We can provide a cot and highchair if needed. No pets.
You're right on the coast for walks. Torquay town centre is a short walk away for shops and restaurants. For a broader look at things to do, the English Riviera website is useful. If you want to explore further, places like Dartmoor, Totnes, and Brixham are all within a 30 minute drive.
