This is the Riviera Apartment in Torquay. It's on the lower ground floor of a big Victorian villa called Riviera Mansion. You get your own front door. The main thing is the view. You look right out over Torre Abbey beach and the marina.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's a five star rating, which basically means everything is new and works well. The living room and main bedroom have these big bay windows with doors that open onto a balcony. There's a swinging chair for three people out there and patio heaters. You can see right across the bay to Paignton and Brixham. On a good day you can see Dartmoor.
Because of the view, it's a good spot for watching things like the Red Arrows or fireworks over the sea.
The building itself has a history. It was built in the 1840s, turned into a hotel in the 1950s, and was split into a few apartments in the 2000s.
You're right on the seafront. Torre Abbey Sands is the beach just below. The town centre with shops and restaurants is about a ten minute walk along the coast path.
Within half an hour you can drive to Paignton, Brixham, or Dartmoor National Park. Totnes is about twenty minutes away.
For facilities, it has a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi and parking on site. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets.
