This is Upper Deck, flat number 5 in the Linden Court building in Brixham. It's an apartment for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating so it's comfortable and well presented.
The main thing about it is the view. It's up on the hill, so you look right down over the whole harbour, the marina, and out to sea. There's a private balcony off the living room to sit out on. I've left a pair of binoculars up there for watching the boats.
Inside, it's open plan. Living area and kitchen in one room, then the bedroom and bathroom off that. It's bright. The heating is from a shared system that runs at set times from October to May, but there are electric heaters in the flat you can use anytime if you need a boost.
You can walk into the centre of Brixham in about five minutes. That's where all the shops, cafes, and restaurants are. It's about the same distance the other way to get down to the marina and Breakwater Beach.
If you fancy a day out, Paignton Zoo and the Paignton and Dartmouth Steam Railway are about a 20-minute drive. The National Trust's Greenway, which was Agatha Christie's house, is a bit further, maybe 25 minutes by car. For walking, the South West Coast Path goes right through the town.
Facilities: there's WiFi, parking on site, and it's all on one level with grab rails in the bathroom. No pets allowed.
