It's called Upper Deck, flat number five at Linden Court. It's got a great spot up above the harbour in Brixham. The main thing is the balcony. It's private, and the view is straight down over the boats and out to sea. We've left a pair of binoculars up there.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well looked after. The living area is open plan with the kitchen. It's bright.
You're up a fair few steps from the harbour level, so you get the view, but it's not the place for you if you struggle with hills. The balcony has a glass railing so you get an uninterrupted view.
You can walk down into Brixham town centre in five minutes. All the shops, pubs, and restaurants are there. Breakwater Beach is a short stroll around the marina.
For other days out, Paignton Zoo is about a fifteen minute drive. The steam railway from Paignton to Dartmouth is good, and so is Greenway, Agatha Christie's old house. It's run by the National Trust.
A few things to note plainly: the main heating comes from a shared boiler for the building. It's on at set times between October and May. You control your own radiators. There are extra electric heaters in the flat if you need them. There's parking on site. No pets.
If you're planning walks, the South West Coast Path goes right through the town. Useful for maps and tide times.
