This is Cliff Cottage in Brixham. It's detached, but it's close to neighbours. The house is an odd, narrow triangle shape because of the land it's built on.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom upstairs. The stairs are quite steep and narrow, just so you know beforehand. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well looked after.
The main thing is the view. You look straight out over Brixham harbour. There's a small balcony off the living room you can stand on, and a little garden with a bench. You'll watch the fishing boats and the ferry coming and going.
You can leave a car about 30 metres up the lane to unload, but there's no dedicated parking. You'll need to use the town car parks. Everything else is on foot. The harbour, shops, and restaurants are 100 yards down the hill.
For a day out, you can get the ferry over to Torquay. The steam train from Paignton to Kingswear is good. Dartmouth is a short ferry ride from there.
The South West Coast Path runs right past the town. It's very steep in places, but the views are incredible. For something more organised, the National Trust at Greenway is close by, which was Agatha Christie's house.
Inside, it's got what you'd need: a washing machine, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. Sorry, no pets.
