Devon Sands
Devon Sands is in Paignton. It's a detached house about half a mile from the beach. It sleeps thirteen, which is a lot, so it's really meant for big families or groups.
There are six bedrooms and three bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well-equipped and comfortable.
The layout is a bit different. You come into the hallway, and there's a living room straight away. Then there's a dining room, and another living space. A spiral staircase goes down to a bedroom on the lower ground floor. That one has an en-suite and doors to the garden. The stairs are a tight spiral, so just be aware.
On the ground floor, there's a proper kitchen with a breakfast bar and a big fridge freezer. Through a door from the dining area, there's a bar room with optics. It's a bit of a feature, good if someone wants to watch a game or you fancy a separate space.
Upstairs on the first floor, there's the main family bathroom with a separate bath and shower. There's a children's room with bunk beds and a high single bed with a short ladder. Two double bedrooms are up there too, plus the main bedroom which has an en-suite and a sliding door to a balcony overlooking the garden.
The garden is mainly lawn, with a raised decked area. There's a big table and chairs out there, and a barbecue.
Parking is on site. There's a washing machine, a cot, a highchair, and a stairgate. Bedding and towels are included. WiFi is there. Sorry, no pets.
Paignton seafront and beach are a short walk or drive. For a wider day out, you've got the whole of Torbay. Torquay is about ten minutes by car. Dartmoor National Park is about a thirty minute drive inland.
