Seaside Stories is in Brixham, up on the cliffs. It's a proper Devon cottage, so it's not a new build. It's got thick walls and small windows in places. The view is the main thing. You can see the whole harbour and the bay from the front.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom downstairs. It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and well looked after. The stairs are quite steep, like most places round here. The garden is terraced, so it's on different levels. It's a suntrap.
You can walk down into Brixham in about five minutes. It's steep coming back up. The town is a working fishing port, so it's got proper character. There are fishmongers selling the day's catch on the quay. Plenty of pubs and places to eat.
It's a good spot for walking. The South West Coast Path goes right past. You can walk to Berry Head, which is a nature reserve with an old fort. It's about twenty minutes on foot. The beaches at Broadsands and Goodrington are a short drive away, maybe ten minutes.
For a day out, Dartmouth is about half an hour's drive. Torquay is twenty minutes. You can get the ferry from Brixham to Torquay or across to Dartmouth if you don't want to drive.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a highchair if you need it. Parking is on street, but we've never had a problem finding a space right outside. No pets, sorry.
