This is Grandview Dartmouth. It's on the edge of Dartmouth town, up a hill, so you get the views.
It's a 5 Star place, which means it's pretty new and well done up inside. Sleeps four, two bedrooms, and each bedroom has its own bathroom. That's handy.
The main thing is the view. You can see right out over the church, the river, Kingswear, and the sea. The living room opens onto a small balcony with a bistro table, good for a coffee. The top floor bedroom has a juliet balcony, so you get the same view from up there.
It's laid out over three floors. You come in on the ground floor to the kitchen and a WC. Living room is on the first floor, then the master bedroom is up another flight on the top floor. So there are stairs. They're normal stairs, not cottage steep.
You can park two cars right outside the front door, which in Dartmouth is a big plus.
Dartmouth town centre is a short walk downhill. All the shops, cafes, and the harbour are there. The passenger ferry over to Kingswear is at the bottom. If you want to drive to the main beaches like Blackpool Sands or Slapton, it's about ten or fifteen minutes.
For a day out, you've got the Dart Valley steam railway in Kingswear, or the National Trust's Coleton Fishacre garden. Dartmouth Castle is a walk along the coast path. Totnes and its castle are about a twenty minute drive upriver.
Inside, it's got everything: wifi, TVs, a washing machine, dishwasher. All the bedding and towels are there. No pets, sorry.
