Woodbury Farm, Tawny Cottage
This is Tawny Cottage. It's one of a few farm cottages here at Woodbury Farm, outside Dartmouth. It's a proper rural spot, quiet, with fields around you. But you can be in the middle of Dartmouth in about ten minutes, which is handy.
The layout is a bit different. You come in on the ground floor to the bedrooms. There are three. One has twin singles. Two have king-size beds. One of those has its own en-suite shower room. The main bathroom is also on that floor. Then you go upstairs to the living area. It's all open plan up there: kitchen, dining, sitting area. The ceilings are high so it feels quite spacious. There's a wood burner for cooler evenings.
Outside, there's a patio with seating at the front. You look out over the fields. It's enclosed, so it's fine for a dog. We accept one well-behaved pet.
The cottage is rated 4 Star. It's comfortable and well-equipped. You've got things like a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and parking right outside.
Location wise, the nearest pub is a couple of miles away. Dartmouth is your main spot for shops, cafes, and the harbour. You can get the ferry over to Kingswear from there. Blackpool Sands is a very nice beach, about a fifteen minute drive. Slapton Sands is a bit further, maybe twenty five minutes. For a big day out, Woodlands Family Theme Park is about ten minutes away if you've got children.
