Tuckenhay, Waterwheel

Tuckenhay Mill is a converted paper mill in a valley on the River Dart. Waterwheel Cottage is one of the properties there. It's a 4 Star graded cottage, which means the comfort and finish are good. It sleeps six people in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom.

The cottage is part of the mill complex, so you share the grounds and facilities with other guests. There are indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a games room, and a sauna. There's also a kids' play area. You can bring one dog with you.

The cottage has its own enclosed garden or patio. Inside, there's a wood burning stove, a TV, and WiFi. It has a washing machine and a dishwasher. Bedding and a cot are provided if you need them.

There's a pub you can walk to, which also does food. For shopping, you'd need to drive to Totnes, which is about three miles away. Dartmouth is about five miles.

The location is good for the coast. Blackpool Sands beach is about a 20 minute drive. Bantham, for surfing, is about half an hour away. You're right on the River Dart, so it's popular for sailing and boats. For walking, you've got the South West Coast Path and Dartmoor nearby.

There are several National Trust properties within easy reach, including Agatha Christie's former home, Greenway. The Dartmoor National Park authority site is useful for planning walks.

Parking is on site.
