This is Waterwheel Cottage in Tuckenhay. It's one of the old mill cottages down on Bow Creek, which is a little inlet off the River Dart.
The cottage sleeps six people. It has three bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. You can bring one dog.
The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. There's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings, and an enclosed garden. The garden gets the sun in the afternoon.
Being part of the mill complex means you can use the leisure facilities. There are two indoor swimming pools and an outdoor one, plus a sauna and a games room. It's all on site.
The stairs inside the cottage are quite steep, just so you know. It's that sort of building.
There's a pub you can walk to along the creek. It does food. For a bigger shop, you need to drive to Totnes, which is about three miles away.
Dartmouth is about five miles. That's where you'll find the castle and the naval college. The South West Coast Path is easily reached from here. For a good beach, Blackpool Sands is about a 20 minute drive. It's shingle, but the water is clear.
