Champernowne
This is Champernowne. It's in Week, which is a small hamlet near Totnes in Devon. It’s a bungalow, so everything's on one level. It’s next to our place but you have your own space and a garden that gets the sun.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well looked after, not a show home. The layout is open plan so the living area and kitchen are together.
The garden looks south over fields. All the windows have a country view.
You're about a mile from Dartington Hall. Nice for walks around the grounds. The Cott Inn, which is thatched and does food, is about the same distance. There's a craft centre there too. Totnes is two miles away. It's got quirky shops, a market on Fridays, a swimming pool, and you can walk along the river.
Dartmoor is about six miles if you want proper walking. Dartmoor National Park has all the information. For beaches, you're looking at a drive of about half an hour to places in the South Hams or towards Torquay.
What's here: Parking right outside. There's WiFi. We provide the bedding. There's a BBQ you can use. You can bring one well-behaved dog.
Other places you might want to look up for trips are the National Trust in Devon and English Heritage. Totnes Castle is one of theirs.
