Tuckenhay, 1 Castle Cottage
This is 1 Castle Cottage in Tuckenhay. It's on the Bow Creek, off the River Dart. You're right by the water here.
The cottage sleeps five. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. Pets are allowed, one dog.
Outside, you've got a small patio area with a BBQ. On site, there's parking. There's also a shared games room, an indoor play area for kids, and both indoor and outdoor swimming pools you can use. There's a sauna and steam room too.
A couple of things to know. The stairs inside are quite steep and narrow, it's that kind of cottage. Also, you share the site with other holiday lets, so you'll see other people around, especially by the pools.
There's a pub you can walk to, the Maltsters Arms, right on the creek. For a shop, you'd need to drive to Totnes, which is about three miles away.
For the coast, Blackpool Sands is a nice shingle beach about 20 minutes by car. Bantham beach, which is good for surfing, is about half an hour. Dartmouth is five miles, so about 15 minutes.
