Monkshood
Monkshood is in Curtisknowle on our farm. It's part of a group of four converted barns set around a courtyard. The farm is about 240 acres.
It sleeps eight people. Four bedrooms, three bathrooms. It's got a 3 Star rating. Everything's clean and it works, but it's not high-end.
You're on a working farm, so you'll see tractors and sheep sometimes. It's quiet. The nearest pub is about two miles away, the shop is three. You're a fair drive from the coast, about ten miles to the nearest beach.
On site, there's a heated indoor swimming pool you can book time in. There's a big games room with an American pool table, table football, and table tennis. Upstairs in that building there's a small gym with some basic machines.
The place is good if you've got kids who like activity. Next door there's an off-road motorbike centre. They do lessons. You can also hire electric bikes here to explore the local lanes.
Totnes is about a 20 minute drive. It's a proper town on the River Dart with shops and cafes. Dartmouth is about the same distance. For a bigger day out, places like Torquay or Dartmoor are within an hour's drive.
You can bring up to two dogs. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair.
