The Garden Cottage
The Garden Cottage is on our farm near Ugborough. It's a single-storey place, so everything's on the ground floor. That makes it easier for getting around.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 star rating. It's comfortable and clean. The main room has big windows looking out over the garden.
You're on a working sheep farm. There's a fishing lake out the front, stocked with carp. The garden's mature, and there's an old Romani caravan in it that we keep as a feature. You get the garden to yourselves.
The cottage is detached, so it's private. It's off the main part of the farm. You'll hear sheep, and see them in the fields.
There's a shop, a pub, and places to eat about two miles away in the village. For a bigger shop, Modbury is about ten minutes by car. It's a nice Georgian town.
The coast is about a twenty minute drive. Bigbury-on-Sea and Bantham are good for sand and surfing. Thurlestone and Mothercombe are close by too. The South West Coast Path is all along there.
For walking from the door, you're right on the edge of Dartmoor. You can be up on the moor in a few minutes. Plymouth is about half an hour away if you need a city.
Facilities: It has a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
