Foxglove
Foxglove is a barn conversion on our farm, Curtisknowle, just outside Dartington in Devon. It's part of a small courtyard with three other cottages. They can be booked together if you have a bigger group.
The cottage sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, three bathrooms. It's rated 3 Star, so it's comfortable and clean. It's not a show home, it's a place to stay.
The building used to be part of the farm so the layout is what it is. It's open plan downstairs. The ceilings upstairs are where the roof is, so they slope. There are beams.
The garden is enclosed and south-facing, so it gets the sun. There's a patio and a barbecue.
On the farm we have a few things for guests. There's a heated indoor swimming pool you can book slots for. A games room with table tennis and a pool table. A fitness room with some basic equipment. We also have a laundry room with machines.
We run an off-road motorbike centre here too. Guests can book lessons on the circuit if they fancy it. We also have electric bikes to hire for exploring the lanes. The farm is about 240 acres, so there are footpaths straight from the door.
A shop is about three miles away. The nearest pub is two miles. For a bigger shop and places to eat, Totnes is about fifteen minutes by car. It's on the River Dart. Dartmouth and the coast are about the same drive the other way.
Beaches like Blackpool Sands or the ones around Kingsbridge are within half an hour. Dartmoor is about thirty minutes north.
For facilities, it has what you'd expect: WiFi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring up to two dogs.
