Foxglove
Foxglove is a barn conversion on Wheeldon Farm at Curtisknowle. It's south Devon inland, so you're about twenty minutes from Dartmoor one way and probably half an hour from the coast the other.
It sleeps eight. There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms, which is handy. It's a 3 Star place, so it's clean and has everything you need, but it's not a show home. You can bring two dogs.
The farm is 240 acres. You're right in the middle of it. There are footpaths from the door. The cottage itself is one of four around a courtyard. They can be booked together if you've got a big group.
There are some facilities on site. There's a heated indoor pool you can book sessions in. There's a big games room over two floors: pool table, table tennis, table football, and a fitness room with some basic equipment. If you're into motorbikes, there's an off-road centre next door that does lessons. You have to book all that in advance.
In terms of location, you're out in the countryside. The nearest shop is about three miles away. A pub is two miles. Totnes is the nearest proper town, about fifteen minutes by car. It's got shops and cafes and you can get boat trips from there down the River Dart.
For the coast, Dartmouth is about twenty minutes drive. From there down towards Kingsbridge there are some nice beaches and coves. Slapton Sands is about half an hour away.
Facilities in the cottage: it's open plan downstairs. There's a wood burner, a dishwasher, washing machine, wifi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair. The garden is enclosed. Parking is right outside.
