Barley Cottage is on the Colmer Estate, near Modbury. It's a stone-built terraced cottage. You're in with about twenty other homes on a big private estate. The estate grounds are 28 acres. There's woodland, a fishing lake, streams, that sort of thing. It's all there for you to walk around.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. One double room and one with bunk beds. The bathroom has a shower over the bath. Downstairs is open plan: kitchen, dining, living area. The kitchen has what you need, including a dishwasher and one of those coffee pod machines. There's an electric wood burner that looks like a stove. TV with Freeview. Outside the front is an enclosed patio with a table. It gets the sun. Out the back, upstairs, there's a door to a lawn area and paths leading into the estate.
The main thing is the shared facilities on the estate. There's a large heated outdoor swimming pool. An indoor pool open from April to October. Tennis courts. A games room with table tennis. A gym. And a children's play area in a walled garden. It's all a short walk from the cottage.
The local pub does food and is about a ten minute walk. There's a Spar shop about the same distance. For a farm shop, Ringfeeder is three minutes by car. They do their own milk and bread.
You're well placed here. Modbury is close. The coast and beaches are about fifteen minutes by car. Dartmoor is about ten minutes drive the other way. Salcombe, Kingsbridge, Dartmouth are all within half an hour.
In terms of what's here: all bedding and towels are included. There's parking. WiFi. The garden is enclosed. No pets.
