The Garden Barn
The Garden Barn is in Bittaford, on the south edge of Dartmoor. It's a stone barn we converted. It's detached and quiet.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom downstairs. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable. The stairs are original, so they're steep and turning. Something to be aware of.
It's open plan downstairs. There's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine. Outside, there's an enclosed sunken patio garden with a barbecue. It's a nice spot when the sun's on it.
You're right on the edge of Dartmoor. You can walk onto the moor from here. Dartmoor National Park has all the walking information. Ivybridge is close for shops and a pub. For a beach, Mothecombe is about a twenty minute drive.
Plymouth is about a twenty minute drive the other way. You've got the National Marine Aquarium there, and the Barbican. Totnes and Dartmouth are within half an hour. National Trust Devon has lots of properties nearby if that's your thing.
Facilities: parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if needed. WiFi. No pets, sorry.
