The Barn House is in Ugborough. It's a cottage converted from a barn, so it's got character. It sleeps six in three bedrooms and has one bathroom. It has a 4 Star rating.
Inside, it's open plan downstairs. There's a living area, a dining table, and the kitchen. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms. One has a super king bed that can be two singles if you prefer, one has a king, and one has twins. The bathroom has a free-standing bath and a shower. There's a step up from the landing to the bathroom and a couple of steps down to the bedrooms.
The stairs are steep, but they have a handrail and little lights on each step. The ceilings are low in parts, and there are some beams you'll need to duck under. It's just how it is.
Outside, there's a small courtyard garden with a patio, some chairs, and a charcoal barbecue.
You can bring one dog. All bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and WiFi. We've also got a highchair and a stairgate if you need them.
There are two pubs in the village, about two minutes' walk away. Ugborough is right on the edge of Dartmoor. The moor itself is about three miles up the road. Dartmoor is huge, with loads of walks. The official site is useful for planning: Dartmoor National Park.
The south Devon coast is about half an hour's drive. Beaches like Mothecombe, Bantham, and Bigbury are all in that direction. Plymouth is 15 miles away. It's got the Barbican, the Hoe, an aquarium, cinemas, and the usual things you find in a city. If you want to go further, Exeter is about 45 minutes away.
