The Lawns is an apartment in Brownston, Devon. It's on an old estate called Colmer House. You get a place to stay and you can use all the estate's facilities while you're there.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. The living area and patio look out over the lawns toward a lake. It's a south facing spot, so you get the sun.
You need to go up ten steps from the car park to get to the front door. The stairs inside are normal.
It's part of a big private estate. You share the grounds and the leisure stuff with other guests from the twenty or so apartments here. There's an indoor pool that's open all year and an outdoor one that's heated in the summer. There's a tennis court, a games room, a small gym, and a kids' play area. The grounds are about 28 acres. There are meadows, woods, and a lake. You'll see rabbits and birds. Sometimes deer.
The apartment itself has an open-plan living area with a kitchen. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. Outside the doors there's a private, paved patio with a table and a gas barbecue.
It's a rural spot. For a shop or a pub, you'd need to drive. The nearest beach is about eight miles away, so places like Beesands or Torcross are within a 20 minute drive. Dartmouth is roughly nine miles, so about a 25 minute drive. Totnes is a bit further, maybe 35 minutes.
