Tonto's View
Tonto's View is a bungalow, detached, on the edge of Sorley. It’s south-facing, so you get the sun and a good view across the fields.
It sleeps two in one bedroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's all on one level and designed to be accessible, so there are grab rails, a wet room, and no steps at the door. The underfloor heating is very effective. It's on an adults-only touring park, so it’s quiet.
The living area is open plan. There's a 40-inch TV, a kitchen with a dishwasher, and a separate little utility room with a washing machine. Outside, there's a patio with a table and chairs and a barbecue. You can charge an electric car here.
The shop is literally a few steps away on the site. The nearest pub is about a mile up the road in Chillington, which does food. For a proper beach, Slapton Sands is about four miles. It's a long pebble beach with the sea on one side and a freshwater lagoon, Slapton Ley, on the other. Good for a walk or birdwatching.
Kingsbridge is about four miles away. They've got a leisure centre and you can get boat trips from there. The South Devon coast path is nearby for walking. Golf is at Thurlestone, about nine miles. Dartmouth is roughly ten miles. Plymouth, Dartmoor, and Totnes are all within an hour's drive.
Bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry. It's a good spot if you want a quiet base and don't want to drive miles for a pint of milk.
