The Hayloft
The Hayloft is a barn conversion in East Charleton. It's detached, but it's next to our house. You can't see our place from the cottage though. It's on one level, which is handy.
It's got two bedrooms. They're upstairs, but the stairs are inside the cottage so it's still all under one roof. Sleeps four. One bathroom with a shower over the bath.
The main room has a high ceiling with the original beams. It's light. There's a wood burner for cooler evenings. The Wi-Fi works fine for normal use. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine.
Outside, there's a small courtyard garden out the front. It's enclosed. You get a parking space right by the door.
The village shop is about a minute's walk. The pub is a five minute walk down the lane. They do meals.
You're about four miles from the coast at Frogmore Creek. There's a private farm track from the property that leads down to the estuary and joins the public footpaths. It's good for a walk without having to drive.
Kingsbridge is ten minutes by car. Dartmouth is about twenty minutes. Salcombe is a bit further, maybe half an hour. For a bigger day out, Totnes, Dartmoor, or Plymouth are all within an hour's drive.
Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair if you need them. No pets, sorry.
