Dene Corner
Dene Corner is my cottage in Chillington. It's semi-detached, one of two. It's not remote, it's in the village. It's handy.
It sleeps six. There are three bedrooms and one bathroom. It has a 3 Star rating. That means it's clean and everything works, but it's not a show home. It's a proper cottage.
The garden is just for you. It gets the sun in the afternoon and looks out over fields at the back. You can sit out there.
There's a shop and a pub about 200 yards up the road. The pub does food. For a swim, you need to drive to Slapton Sands, which is a good beach. Slapton Ley is right next to it if you like birdwatching.
Kingsbridge is about four miles away. They've got a leisure centre with a pool. You can get the steamer from there down to Salcombe, which is where all the sailing is. Salcombe is about eight miles.
For walks, the South Devon Coastal Path is easy to get to. Thurlestone golf is nine miles. Dartmouth is ten miles. If you want a day out, Plymouth, Dartmoor or Torquay are all within an hour's drive.
Inside, there's a washing machine. Bedding is included. I can leave a cot if you need one. There's parking on the drive. Sorry, no pets.
