The Laurels is in South Allington, near Kingsbridge. It's the east wing of a big house, so you get a lot of space. It sleeps up to twelve. I think it's best for a big family or a group of friends.
There are five bedrooms and four bathrooms. Two of the main bedrooms are big and get light from both sides. One of those has its own bathroom, the other has bunk beds in it too, besides the double bed. A couple of the other rooms can be set up with twins or a double, depending on what you need.
Downstairs, the kitchen diner is large. It's got a big farmhouse table and looks out over the garden. There's an electric range cooker, dishwasher, washer/dryer, and a fridge freezer. The living room is also a good size, with leather sofas and a TV.
You get to use the main gardens, which are extensive. There's a gas barbecue and garden furniture. You can also use the tennis court and croquet lawn on the grounds. The place runs on green energy, with solar panels and a wind turbine.
The beach at South Sands is about a mile away. Salcombe is just over three miles for shops and boats. Kingsbridge is about two miles. The South West Coast Path is close by for walking.
It's got a 3 Star rating. It's clean, well-equipped and comfortable, but not luxury. The property is wheelchair accessible at the entrance. You can bring up to two dogs.
