Otter Cottage is in Salcombe, up a hill a bit. It's detached. Sleeps eight in five bedrooms. There are two bathrooms.
It's a 4 Star place, so it's well equipped and comfortable. Comfy rather than grand. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you've got kids. There's a Juliet balcony off one of the bedrooms, but you can't actually go out on it. It's just there.
You can fit two cars on the drive. There's a small shop two minutes down the road for basics. The main town for all the other shops and cafes is a walk downhill, or a short drive.
Inside, it's got everything you'd need: WiFi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine. There's a woodburner for cooler evenings. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog.
From the top floor you can see across to Snapes Point and South Pool. It's a good view.
For days out, you're right on the South West Coast Path. The National Trust looks after a lot of the coastline around here, like Overbecks and East Soar. For sailing or just watching boats, the Salcombe estuary is right there. If you fancy a change, the beaches at Bigbury and Bantham are about a 30 minute drive.
