It's Otter Cottage in Salcombe. It's detached, up quite a steep hill, so the views from the upstairs windows are good. You can see out over towards Snapes and South Pool.
It sleeps up to eight people, five bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well equipped, not brand new but it works. The garden is fully enclosed, which is good if you have kids or a dog. There's off-road parking for two cars.
There's a Juliet balcony off one of the bedrooms. It doesn't open, it's decorative, so don't plan on standing out there.
Inside, it's got the usual stuff: wifi, TV, a dishwasher, washing machine. There's a wood burner for cooler evenings. Bedding and towels are included.
You can bring one well-behaved dog. The garden is secure.
There's a local shop about two minutes walk down the hill. A pub is nearby too, just a short walk.
From the house, you're a walk away from the waterfront and the coastal path. For a bigger beach day, South Sands is a drive or you can get the ferry from town. The National Trust's Overbeck's Garden is worth a visit if you like that sort of thing.
For planning, the South Devon National Landscape site has good information on walks. Dartmouth is about a 25-minute drive. Kingsbridge is 15 minutes.
