Courtenay Street 5 is a Victorian cottage in Salcombe. It's painted white and you can see it from the main road coming in. The location is the main thing: you're one minute from the shops and the quay. It's that close.
It's been refurbished. Decorated to a good standard, clean, comfortable. It sleeps seven in four bedrooms. There are two bathrooms which helps with that many people. You get estuary views from two of the bedrooms.
Out the back there's a patio and a garden with some decking. It's got mature shrubs so it feels a bit private. You can sit out there.
Inside, it's a cottage. The stairs are what you'd expect. They're not a problem, but they are cottage stairs. Everything you'd need is there: a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog.
Being in Salcombe, you're right in it. The sailing boats, the shops, the cafes. You don't really need to drive once you're here. For walks, the South West Coast Path is on your doorstep. For a change of scene, the beaches at South Sands and North Sands are a pleasant walk away.
If you want to explore further, Kingsbridge is a short drive up the estuary. Dartmouth is about a 40 minute drive. Dartmoor is within an hour.
It's got a 3 Star rating. That means it's a well-equipped, comfortable holiday home. It's not a luxury hotel, but it's a very good base right in the middle of everything.
