This is Eydon in Salcombe. It's an end of terrace house, not right on the water but in a handy spot. You're a short, fairly steep walk down into the town centre and the pontoon. Coming back up is a proper walk, just so you know.
It sleeps eight in four bedrooms. Two bathrooms, one with a walk-in shower. The 4 Star rating means it's well-equipped and comfortable. It's a family house, not a show home. The garden is a flagged patio area, south-facing so you get the sun. There's parking for two cars right there, and an electric vehicle charger.
You've got all the basics: WiFi, washing machine, dishwasher. It's set up for kids too, with a cot, highchair, and stairgate included. We allow up to two dogs. All the bedding and towels are provided.
Salcombe itself is all there. Good pubs, places to eat, and shops. For a bigger shop or a cinema, you'd drive to Totnes or Plymouth. The South West Coast Path runs right through town if you're walking. For local attractions, the National Trust's Overbeck's is a nice visit, and you can get the passenger ferry across to East Portlemouth for the beach.
Useful links for planning: South Devon National Landscape and English Heritage for places like Dartmouth Castle, which is about a 30 minute drive.
