Church St 1 Upper Apartment
Church Street 1 Upper Apartment is a first-floor flat in Salcombe. It sleeps eight, has four bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, so as you'd expect, it's decent and clean but fairly standard. There's a shower over the bath.
It's a really handy spot. You're at the top of town, a stone's throw from the main bit where the boats are moored. The shops and restaurants are just down the hill. The view from the windows is good, over the rooftops out to the harbour and across to Snapes Point and East Portlemouth.
The facilities are straightforward: there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, Wi-Fi included, and bedding and towels are provided. Parking in Salcombe is a nightmare, so you get a permit for one car in the long-stay car park, which is about a ten-minute walk away. You need to sort that out before you arrive.
You can bring one well-behaved dog. It's fine for a coastal holiday, but obviously it's a town flat so you need to be out and about with them.
You're right in the middle of it all here. The beach at North Sands is about a mile's walk, maybe a bit less. South Sands is similar. From there you can get the little ferry over to East Portlemouth which has nicer, sandier beaches. For bigger days out, Dartmoor is about an hour's drive, Plymouth is 45 minutes, and Kingsbridge is about twenty minutes. The South West Coast Path runs right past the bottom of the town.
A few practical things: the property is first floor, which means stairs. It's in a terraced row so it's not detached, you will hear some normal neighbour noise. And it's in a narrow, hilly street, so dropping bags off can be tight.
