The Shippen is a farm conversion on the lane into East Prawle. It's a three bedroom place that sleeps seven. You've got two bathrooms, which is handy.
It's got a 4 Star rating, so everything's in good order. The main room is open plan with a wood burning stove. The garden is enclosed, which is good for dogs and kids. There's parking right there.
East Prawle is a proper coastal village. You can walk down to the coast path in about ten minutes. The views from there are very good. The village has a shop and cafe, but they're seasonal, open from Easter through the autumn.
The local pub is The Pig's Nose. It's a characterful place, does food, and has live music sometimes. Prawle Point is the southernmost bit of Devon, about a mile and a half walk along the coast. There's a coastguard station there.
For a bigger day out, Salcombe is about a twenty minute drive. You can get the passenger ferry from East Portlemouth if you want. Dartmouth is roughly half an hour away by car. They've got a castle, the regatta in August, and you can get a steam train from there to Paignton.
The facilities are what you'd expect: wifi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. You can bring up to three dogs.
