Rockstedde
Rockstedde is in Salcombe, up on Cliff Road. It's the bottom two floors of a big Victorian house. It looks out over the main anchorage towards South Pool creek. The view is really the main thing.
It sleeps six, in four bedrooms. There's one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean, but it's an old house. The rooms are big, but the ceilings are high so it can feel a bit cool sometimes.
You're two minutes walk from the town. The shops and the quay are right there. It overlooks Courtenay Park, which is just a green space with some benches. You get a small terraced patio and garden out the back. There's parking for one car on the drive, which is a big deal in Salcombe.
It's well equipped. There's a dishwasher and washing machine. Wifi works fine. Bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
For things to do, you're on the doorstep. You can watch the boats from the window. The South West Coast Path is right there for walking. For a day out, the beaches at North Sands and South Sands are close. Over the estuary, East Portlemouth has nice sand. Further afield, the towns of Kingsbridge and Dartmouth are within half an hour.
