Rockstedde
Rockstedde is a big part of a Victorian house, the main bit really, in Salcombe. It’s been done up recently and looks out over the main harbour towards South Pool. The view is a big part of it.
It sleeps ten people in five bedrooms. There are four bathrooms, which helps with a group that size. It’s got a 4 Star rating, so it’s well-equipped and comfortable.
You’re very close to everything. It’s two minutes walking from the shops and the quay. It overlooks Courtenay Park, which is nice and green. You get a terrace patio, a garden, and parking on site, which isn't always easy in Salcombe.
Outside, there’s a large balcony and the terraced garden. Good for a morning coffee. Facilities are what you’d expect: dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There’s a shower, and it’s listed as coastal accessible.
For things to do, it’s Salcombe, so sailing and boats are everywhere. For walking, the South West Coast Path is right there. The National Trust looks after a lot of the coastline nearby, like East Soar and Overbecks. Within half an hour’s drive you’ve got Kingsbridge, and the beaches at the mouth of the estuary like South Sands. Dartmoor is about 45 minutes if you fancy a change from the coast.
