Quays Cottage is in Salcombe, right down by the harbour. It's a terraced house on a little backstreet. You're literally a minute's walk from the shops and cafés, and maybe two minutes from Victoria Quay. It looks straight out over the main bit of the harbour, so you get a good view of all the boats and over towards South Pool.
It sleeps six across three bedrooms, with one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's been done up nicely and feels modern and clean. The stairs are reasonable.
You can bring one well-behaved dog.
For facilities, you've got the basics covered: a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, and WiFi. All the bedding and towels are included.
Being where it is, you don't really need the car once you're here. You can walk to everything in town. For a bigger beach day, South Sands or North Sands are about a mile or so along the coast path, or you can catch the passenger ferry over to East Portlemouth, which has lovely sandy beaches.
If you did want to drive out, Kingsbridge is about seven miles inland, and the South Devon Coastal Path starts on your doorstep. Dartmouth is about a 40-minute drive.
