The Boathouse is in Salcombe, right on the water behind the Normandy pontoon. We rebuilt it a while back to look like the old boathouse that was here. It's not typical.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It has a 4 Star rating. The main thing is the position. You are right at the water's edge with views straight out over the anchorage to East Portlemouth.
There is a private slipway and jetty. If you have a boat, we can talk about the mooring.
The stairs inside are worth a mention. They are the original spiral ones from the rebuild, so they're steep and a bit narrow. Just something to be aware of.
Facilities are what you'd expect: WiFi, a TV, dishwasher, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a BBQ outside. Because of the design and the direct water access, it's flagged as having unique features.
You're right in the middle of town, so everything in Salcombe is on your doorstep. For a longer walk, the South West Coast Path is there. Over the ferry at East Portlemouth, the beaches are very good.
For wider planning, the National Trust looks after a lot of the coastline and countryside around here.
No pets, sorry.
