This is the Boathouse in Salcombe. It's right on the water, behind the Normandy pontoon. It was rebuilt to look like the old Evans Boathouse that was here. There's a private slipway and a jetty, and the view from the front is just the main harbour and over to East Portlemouth. Nothing in the way.
It sleeps four people. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.
Because of where it is, you should know the access to the front door is via a shared pedestrian lane. It's not difficult, but it's worth mentioning. Once you're in, the main living area is upstairs to make the most of the view. The stairs inside are a standard flight.
It has a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a BBQ you can use. No pets, sorry.
You're right in the middle of town, so everything in Salcombe is a short walk. For days out, the National Trust Devon site is useful for places like Overbeck's or the coast path. The ferry over to East Portlemouth beaches leaves from near the pontoon. Kingsbridge is about a 20-minute drive up the estuary if you want a change of scene.
