Otter House

Otter House is in Burlestone. It's a big place. A Regency style house that can sleep up to fourteen people. There are seven bedrooms and five bathrooms, so you shouldn't have to queue too much.

It's on about two and a half acres of its own land. Mostly gardens, some orchard, and there are a couple of duck ponds. You can barbecue out there.

Inside, it's set up for a group. There are two separate lounges, each with a TV. One has a piano. There's a games room with bar billiards. The main kitchen is big enough for everyone to eat together.

There's also a separate downstairs bedroom with its own small kitchen area. That makes it work if you've got someone who needs ground floor access, or just wants a bit of quiet.

It's got a 3 Star rating. That means it's clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, but it's not a show home. It's a family house. Plenty of space, but mind your head on some of the door frames if you're tall. The heating is good, with underfloor downstairs and wood burners in the lounges.

You can bring up to three dogs. The garden is fully enclosed.

For getting out, you're not far from the coast. The South West Coast Path is a short drive away. Slapton Ley is nearby for walking and birdwatching. The beach at Slapton Sands is good for swimming.

Kingsbridge is about four miles for shops and the estuary. Dartmouth is roughly twelve miles. Plymouth, Dartmoor, and Totnes are all within about forty minutes by car if you want a day trip.

Everything you'd expect is here: WiFi, washing machine, cots, highchairs, plenty of parking. Bedding and towels are included.
