This is Solstice in Dartmouth. It's a maisonette, so it's over three floors. The view from the top is the best bit, you can see right across the river to Kingswear and out to the mouth of the Dart.
It sleeps six people. There are three bedrooms and three bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. The place has been done up inside so it feels quite modern.
Outside there's a patio and a deck with some furniture. You can sit out there with a drink and look at the view.
You need to know about the stairs. They're in the original part of the building. Some are steep, some are narrow. Just take your time on them.
It's about a five minute walk into the centre of Dartmouth. You can get to the shops, cafes and the riverfront without moving the car. The Britannia Royal Naval College is there if you're interested in that sort of thing.
For beaches, Blackpool Sands and Slapton Sands are about fifteen minutes by car. Good for a swim or a walk. The South West Coast Path runs through there if you want a longer walk.
Facilities are what you'd expect: there's WiFi and parking on site. It's listed as coastal accessible, which means it's not far from the water. No pets, I'm afraid.
If you're planning trips, the National Trust has a few places nearby like Coleton Fishacre. Dartmouth itself is good for boat trips and general wandering about.
