Samphire Cottage is an end-of-terrace fisherman's cottage in Brixham. It's got a 5 Star rating. Sleeps three, two bedrooms, one bathroom. One dog is welcome.
The layout is all open plan downstairs. Kitchen, living area, it's all one space. Upstairs, the main bedroom has a kingsize bed and you can see the harbour from the window. The second bedroom is smaller and has a door out to a little patio area with a water feature. There's one bathroom.
The stairs are the original cottage stairs. They are steep, narrow, and turn a corner. You need to be careful on them.
Outside, there's a patio that faces the harbour. It gets the sun. You can sit there and watch the boats. It's about a five minute walk down to the harbour itself.
For parking, you'd mainly use the public car parks nearby. There's some on-street parking locally but it's not guaranteed.
The shop is about 400 yards away, the pub is 300 yards. Both are easy to get to on foot.
Brixham is a working fishing port. It's got a proper harbour with boats coming and going. The South West Coast Path runs right past it if you want a walk. For a longer trip, you can get a ferry over to Torquay from the harbour.
Berry Head is a short walk away. It's a country park and national nature reserve. Good for a stroll with views.
Within about half an hour's drive you've got Torquay, Paignton, and the start of Dartmoor. National Trust Devon has several places nearby like Coleton Fishacre and Greenway, which was Agatha Christie's house.
Facilities included are a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, and all bedding and towels. There's the patio garden at the property.
