Norville

Norville is in Brixham, up on the hill past the harbour. It's a detached house, so you've got your own space. There's parking for two cars on the drive.

It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, three bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms are big, one with a kingsize bed and the other with a super kingsize, and they both have their own bathrooms. There's a twin room and one with a single bed that has a trundle underneath. It's a 5 Star place, which means it's well-finished and has everything you'd need. It's clean and looks after you.

The living room and kitchen are open-plan. The doors go out to a terrace and then down to the garden. The garden is decent sized, not huge, but it's fenced and safe if you've got kids. The main bedroom upstairs has a small balcony. You get a view of the sea from there and from the back of the house.

You're about a ten minute walk downhill to the harbour. It's steep coming back up, just so you know. Brixham itself is a proper working harbour. You can get fish and chips, watch the boats, and there's a ferry over to Torquay. The Brixham Heritage Museum is good if it rains.

For a day out, Berry Head is a fifteen minute walk. It's a nature reserve right on the point. The National Trust looks after it. Paignton and its zoo are about twenty minutes by car. Dartmouth is half an hour's drive. The South West Coast Path runs right through if you like walking.

Inside, there's a woodburner for winter, a dishwasher, WiFi, and they provide a cot and some baby things. The whole place is on one level except for the one bedroom upstairs. No pets allowed.
