The Lookout 43

The Lookout 43 is in Brixham. It’s one of a row of cottages on a steep hill so you do have to go up some steps from the road to get to it. The front door opens into the living room.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. The main bedroom is on the first floor with a king size bed. The twin room is up another flight of stairs in the eaves. It has its own shower room. Both have a view of the bay.

The living room has a wood burner. There’s a window seat to look out from. The kitchen is through the back and has what you need. There’s a utility room with a washing machine and a door out to a small courtyard garden at the rear. You can sit out there or at the front.

You can walk into Brixham town centre. It’s about ten minutes downhill. Coming back is uphill. The harbour is there with all the boats and fish and chip shops.

For a bigger beach, you can drive to Goodrington or Broadsands. They’re about ten minutes by car. The South West Coast Path goes right past the end of the road if you want to walk. Berry Head is close by. You can see it from the front windows.

Paignton and Torquay are a short drive away if you need more shops or a cinema. Dartmoor is about forty minutes’ drive for a different kind of day out.

It’s a 4 Star place. That means it’s well kept. We allow one well-behaved dog. Bedding and towels are included. There’s parking for one car on the road outside.
