Leighwood Cottage
Leighwood Cottage is a one-bedroom place for two people in Upper Preston, Paignton. It's on the edge of Occombe Woods, so you look out over the trees.
It's modern inside, rated 4 Star. The kitchen has what you need, and there's a utility room with a washing machine and a separate toilet. The living room has sliding doors that open onto a raised patio. You get the sun in the evening out there. The garden goes down to a gate that leads straight into the woods.
The bedroom has a queen-sized bed. The bathroom is ensuite and has both a bath and a separate shower.
It's a quiet spot, but not far from things. Paignton seafront is about a mile and a half away for the beach. The Torbay coast path is easy to get to. There's a pub, Ye Olde Smokey, just over a mile away. Occombe Farm Cafe is a short walk up the road for breakfast or lunch.
You can be in Totnes or Brixham in under twenty minutes by car. Dartmouth and the South Hams are about half an hour away.
It has parking on site. The whole place is on one level so there are no stairs inside, and there's a wheelchair-accessible entrance. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.
For planning days out, National Trust Devon and South Devon Coastal Path sites are useful.
