View Point is a ground floor apartment down in Babbacombe, Torquay. It’s part of our house, but you’ve got your own space and entrance. The main thing is the view, it looks right out over the bay.
It sleeps four. There are two bedrooms and each one has its own bathroom, which is handy. It’s got a 4 Star rating. It’s clean and modern.
Because it’s on the ground floor, there are no stairs to worry about inside. You can park right outside the door.
There’s a shop and a pub about half a mile up the road. The pub does food. For a proper beach day, Oddicombe is about two and a half miles away. It’s a shingle beach, quieter than the main ones in Torquay. Babbacombe Model Village is up there too, if that’s your sort of thing.
Torquay itself is three or four miles down the hill. You can drive it in about ten minutes, or there are bus stops nearby. It’s got the harbour, the Pavilion, the usual seafront stuff. If you want a different coast, the South West Coast Path runs right through.
For a day out, Dartmoor is about 40 minutes’ drive. Totnes is maybe half an hour. Exeter is a bit further.
Facilities wise: it’s got a washing machine, WiFi, a TV. There’s a small patio area with a BBQ. All bedding and towels are included. No pets, I’m afraid.
