The Garden Flat
The Garden Flat is in Torquay. It's a one bedroom flat attached to our house, but it's private. It sleeps two.
You get the whole garden flat to yourselves. There's a veranda that's covered, which is handy if it rains. It looks out over a pond. The garden is big and enclosed, so dogs can't get out. The main garden is about three quarters of an acre. It’s hilly, so the views are good. You can see the valley and a bit of the sea.
Wellswood village is about a ten minute walk through the woods. It's got a small supermarket, a post office, a few pubs and cafes. The local pub does food and lets dogs in. Meadfoot Beach is the closest. It's a nice beach. Walkable, but it’s down a steep hill.
In Torquay itself, which is a short drive, there's the harbour and marina. The flat has a 3 Star rating. It’s comfortable and clean. There's parking here on the drive.
Facilities: Wifi, TV, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. You can store bikes.
It's on the edge of Lincombe Woods, so you can walk straight into the trees. For planning days out, the English Riviera website has information. National Trust Devon has places like Coleton Fishacre nearby.
