Lifebuoy Cottage
This is Lifebuoy Cottage. It's in Torquay, on a hill but not right at the top. It's a terrace house.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's tidy and well looked after. The stairs are a bit steep and narrow, it's that kind of house.
There's a small courtyard out the back with a table and chairs. It's enclosed, so it's secure for dogs or kids. You can park right outside, which is useful.
Inside, there's a living room with a smart TV and WiFi. The kitchen has a washing machine. We leave a travel cot if you need it. Bedding is included.
You can have up to two dogs. The courtyard is handy for that.
For the beach, you can walk down to Meadfoot or Oddicombe. The South West Coast Path is right there for longer walks. There's a local pub about five minutes walk away.
Torquay seafront, the marina, and most of the main attractions like Kents Cavern are a 20 minute walk downhill, or a few minutes in the car. Coming back is uphill, just so you know.
If you want to go further, Dartmoor is about 40 minutes drive. Totnes and Dartmouth are within half an hour. For local heritage, Torre Abbey is very close.
That's about it. It's a good base for being close to things without being right in the middle of town.
