Boohay - Bay Fort
This is Boohay, the apartment we have in Bay Fort Mansions. It’s a flat in a big Victorian villa in Torquay. The main thing is the view. You look straight out over the marina, the beach, and the sea. You see all the boats coming and going.
It’s a one-bedroom flat, so it sleeps four but it’s best for two or maybe a couple with one or two kids. There’s a sofa bed in the living room. It’s got a 4 Star rating. There’s one proper bathroom.
You get a patio area outside your front door. It’s shared with the other flats in the building, but it’s a big space and it faces south, so you get the sun. Inside, there’s WiFi and a washing machine. Because it’s an old building, the main entrance steps are a bit steep. Something to be aware of.
You can walk to most things. Torre Abbey Sands beach is down the hill. The town centre and harbour are a 10-15 minute walk. Living Coasts is close by. Kents Cavern and the Model Village in Babbacombe are about a 10 minute drive. Cockington Country Park is just behind the town if you want some trees and a quieter walk.
For a day out, Dartmoor is about 30 minutes by car. Totnes is nice for a wander and is about 20 minutes away. You can get the train to Exeter or Plymouth from Torquay station, which is a 15 minute walk from the flat.
