Lavender
Lavender is a holiday pod on a touring park just outside Brixham. It's a one-bedroom place, sleeps four, and has a three star rating.
It's really a comfortable base. The pod itself has a bedroom and a bathroom inside. The shower block for the whole site is just opposite if you need it. You've got a private patio with a BBQ, and there's plenty of grass area around and a kids' play park on site.
It's about a mile and a half to Brixham harbour from here. So you can drive down in a few minutes, or it's a good walk if you don't mind the hill back. Brixham itself is a proper working harbour. Good fish and chips, plenty of pubs, and you can watch the boats come and go.
Within half an hour you've got Paignton and Torquay along the coast. Dartmouth is the other way, you can drive around or get the ferry from Kingswear. For a big day out, Dartmoor National Park is about forty minutes drive inland.
It's a simple set up. The parking is right there, bedding is provided, and all the utilities are included. It's on the ground floor and the entrance is wheelchair accessible. No pets, sorry.
